Paul will sit on a panel entitled, “Non-Traditional Settings for Lawyers.” The panel will discuss whether a law degree can be used to propel a career in a host of endeavors that go beyond practicing at a law firm. Paul will present on how the skills you acquire in law school and as a lawyer can open doors to non-traditional settings. He will discuss his move away from the practice of law into other successful and meaningful professional pursuits, the path he took and lessons learned along the way.

Where: Four Seasons Hotel Denver, Denver, CO
Paul will sit on a panel entitled, “Government in the Workplace, of the Workplace, and for the Workplace.” The panel will discuss whether it is the EEOC and its “ban the box” initiative limiting employer inquiries into the criminal background of applicants for employment, or the National Labor Relations Board and its guidance to employers on the regulation of employee use of social media, or the Department of Labor and its attempts to keep pace with technology and new areas of overtime obligation. Paul will present on the many messages and the implications for compliance.
